Hepburn Country hideaway
Nestled on a hillside, amongst half an acre of tranquil gardens, Pumpernickel is your home away from home in Hepburn Springs. Formerly a traditional miner’s cottage, the property has been updated to offer two bedrooms and two bathrooms without losing any of its original charm. Pumpernickel offers a light filled, open plan living, dining and kitchen area. There are great views of Doctors Gully from the living zone and master bedroom.
An expansive decked area is ideal if you are bringing your precious pet and offers a lovely spot from which to watch the native fauna and listen to the abundant bird life. Kangaroos are known to frequent the spot and you may get to see the occasional koala or echidna. Pumpernickel is a peaceful getaway for couples, families and friends. Just a short drive to Hepburn Springs Village and Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, Pumpernickel is one of our most popular properties in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area.

Brilliant, quiet location tucked in among the bush yet a very easy stroll up to the pub and restaurants for dinner. Love having an open fire for winter escapes. Heartily recommend it.
Great spot, secluded, amazing wood fire available, spring flowers still in bloom and great hot water pressure. Honestly had an amazing time here and would happily stay again. Hugo (a dog) also enjoyed himself, there’s an enclosed yard and room to run. Thank you for having us. Evan
Pumpernickel is a lovely homely cottage that ticks all the boxes: clean, cozy, private yet close enough to walk to the village, bush and views, well serviced for self catering, great local tips and some historical notes too! Our family started dreaming of staying for good! Thanks again to our generous hosts
