Shillings and Pence is truly a special slice of Victoria and our idea of the perfect weekend getaway. Nestled in beautiful and quaint Bullarto, we felt secluded from the world, yet the accommodation is only 10 minutes from the heart of Daylesford. The accommodation is as lovely as advertised, but it’s the thoughtful amenities and treats that made our weekend extra special. Complementary wine, freshly baked bread, locally laid eggs and beautiful toiletries are just a few of the many luxurious amenities. Local guides and information are also supplied to catch you up on everything the area has to offer. We did not want for during our stay, it was wonderful and we will definitely be back! read more
We spent 3 nights at this property and loved it. What a well thought out, well appointed, clean and inviting space. The attention to detail, made this property a pleasure to stay in. We managed a couple of walks through the forest at the rear of the property, but mostly stayed warm indoors and watched the snow fall on the wintery August weekend we had. An easy drive to Daylesford and a very quiet and peaceful location. The property will only improve when some of the newly planted trees and shrubs mature. Highly recommended. read more
