Chestnut Cottage was perfect for my stay in Daylesford. Great location close to the main street. Easy walking to clubs, pubs, shops and restaurants. A short drive to Hepburn Springs. The Convent and Gallery was just up the road. The cottage was beautiful with plenty of room and a lovely garden. Comfortable bed and the kitchen had everything I need for a short stay. The fire and spa bath were a special treat. I will be back.

A lovely small cottage close to the main centre of town. Very cozy and comfortable. Fire wood left for us to use and the fire set. Great to open cupboards which had any product that we would need for our stay. Great spa bath to enjoy towels supplied. Would certainly recommend a stay here. Unfortunately we had booked for March but had to cancel due to husband being admitted to hospital. The staff at Daylesford Country Retreats were extremely understanding so we rebooked. Beautiful Escape

Other than there being no hot water on our final night, we had the most amazing time at Chestnut! The bath is amazing, and a wood fire topped it off. The amenities were fantastic (espresso machine ❤️) and we really appreciated the good quality bathing products. It would be helpful to let the people staying at Maple not to park in the driveway as we scratched (verrrry minorly) our car trying to get out as they didn't leave us enough space to reverse out. We have already booked our next escape

Disappointing stay

We were really looking forward to a luxurious getaway but we’re left very underwhelmed. On arrival the deck was dirty with heaps of cobwebs. Once inside, the floor was dirty and the lack of detail continued. Most disappointing was the uncomfortable mattress and the skylight directly over the bed which was broken and could not be closed. If you like waking up very early it will be just what you need. The place looks very tired overall and needs a refresh.

Beautiful little place with everything you need for a weekend away. Absolutely loved the fire place and the bath. Walking distance to the Main Street and best of all we enjoyed it with our little Scottie dog.

Such an amazing and well appointed property for our child free getaway and exactly what was needed. The device we received when the TV was not working was second to none. In next to no time a brand new unit was delivered. Now that’s customer service.
