We have some wonderful wineries in the local area – all have outside dining available. Here are some of our favourites:
Passing Clouds Winery – The closest cellar door to Daylesford, located in the village of Musk, open 7 days a week 10am to 5pm. Lunch is Thursday to Monday, featuring a fixed three course shared ‘La Famiglia’ menu, cooked exclusively over their charcoal fire pit.
Guildford Wines – Organic, biodynamic and regenerative farming. Book in advance for their long lunch on Saturdays and Sundays at their unique restaurant on the vineyard in Guildford (15 mins from Castlemaine). The food is fresh, locally sourced and designed to match the different wines.
Attwoods Wines – Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for tastings, food and wine sales at Glenlyon. Sit on the deck or in the leafy gardens with a glass of wine and a cheese or charcuterie board, no better way to while away the weekend hours. Kids and dogs are very welcome. Wheelchair accessible.
Captains Creek Organic Wines (pictured) – Their cellar door is open on weekends only, for wine and cider tastings from 11am to 5pm. Lunch served between 12pm to 3pm and platters until 4.30pm, featuring fresh organic produce from Captains Creek and surrounding farms.
